U.S. cricketer Akhilesh Reddy handed eight-year ban for fixing matches
Akhilesh Reddy, a USA cricket international, received an eight-year suspension after the ICC found him guilty of match-fixing violations.
The ICC announced that USA cricketer Akhilesh Reddy has been suspended for eight years after being found guilty of multiple anti-corruption breaches. The Anti-Corruption Tribunal determined that Reddy tried to fix matches in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, attempted to persuade a teammate to join the illicit activity, and deleted messages and data from his phone that were pertinent to the investigation. He was initially charged in November and placed on provisional suspension pending the tribunal’s decision.
The sanction is retroactively applied from 21 November 2025, and officials noted that his effort to involve another player did not succeed. Reddy’s most recent appearance for the United States national side was in April 2025.
