UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento dies at 34 from apparent heart attack

Allan Nascimento, a 34-year-old UFC flyweight nicknamed "Puro Osso," died after an apparent heart attack while sleeping, officials said. He was found unresponsive on Monday and pronounced dead at the scene despite medical assistance. The organization posted a message offering sympathy to his family, friends, teammates and loved ones.

A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nascimento started competing in mixed-martial-arts in 2011 and made his first UFC appearance seven years later, losing a split decision to Raulian Paiva on Dana White's Contender Series. He officially joined the UFC roster in 2021, initially losing a split decision to Tagir Ulanbekov before stringing together four straight wins, two of which earned Fight of the Night accolades. His last fight occurred at UFC Fight Night on June 20.
