Ukrop's recalls nearly 23,000 pounds of frozen meals over metal contamination

The Food Safety and Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a recall of roughly 23,000 pounds of Ukrop's Homestyle Foods frozen baked spaghetti and chicken cobbler after a customer discovered a metal sliver in a fully cooked product. Affected merchandise includes 62.4-ounce bulk pans and 4.8-ounce single servings of spaghetti, as well as 48-ounce family pans and 11.6-ounce trays of chicken cobbler, all bearing best-by dates from July 8 through August 5 and sold in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Department of War commissaries and via online channels.
The products were manufactured between July 1 and July 29, 2026. FSIS reports no confirmed injuries and urges anyone who feels unwell to consult a healthcare provider. Consumers should either throw away the recalled items or return them for a full refund. This recall comes shortly after Rich Products Corp. withdrew thousands of cases of frozen pizza cheese snacks over similar metal-fragment concerns.
