US schools cozy with Cuban university tied to 'intelligence network'

At least nine top-ranked American universities send students to a Cuban school tied to Cuba’s intelligence apparatus to learn about Marxism and other regime-approved topics. Cuba’s University of Havana has built student exchange agreements with seven Ivy League schools and two others ranked among U. News and World Report’s top 15 institutions, one outlet's investigation found. The state-controlled campus is “a key node in the Cuban intelligence network” through which the regime forms relationships in academia for recruitment and espionage, the State Department warned in a July 20 report on Cuba’s anti-American activities. A statement by Indiana State University indicated the Havana school had “nearly eighty” agreements with U.
