Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA claims his daughter married a serial conman using fake IDs

Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Gyan Tiwari filed a police complaint claiming his daughter Pragya was deceived into marrying Prakhar Trivedi, who allegedly used fabricated identities to wed around 25 women. According to the filing at Reusa police station, the marriage took place in 2024 after local inquiries and positive references from influential locals. Tiwari asserts that Anuj Trivedi, Prakhar's father, presented himself as a prominent Mumbai real-estate businessman while hiding a criminal past.
Two and a half years later, the family learned of Prakhar's alleged scams involving large monetary losses to women in multiple states, including Maharashtra. Police have arrested both Anuj and Prakhar on cheating charges, and Tiwari has severed ties with the family, bringing his daughter back home. He demanded strict legal action, even the death penalty, if the accusations are proven.
