Verizon announced that a technical issue was impacting voice services for its wireless subscribers in multiple U.S. locations on Saturday. Monitoring site Downdetector showed more than 12,000 reports by mid-afternoon. A company spokesperson told one outlet that engineers are actively investigating and urged customers to consult the Check Network Status page for the latest information.
The outage prompted a surge of posts on X, where users reported being unable to make or receive calls regardless of state. Verizon apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience while the problem is resolved.
