Verizon reports widespread voice service outage across multiple U.S. regions

Verizon confirmed a disruption to voice calls for wireless users in several parts of the United States, with thousands of complaints logged.

Monitoring site Downdetector showed more than 12,000 reports by mid-afternoon. The outage prompted a surge of posts on X, where users reported being unable to make or receive calls regardless of state. Verizon apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience while the problem is resolved.
