Veteran Hollywood actor arrested on multiple felony child-sex abuse charges

Santa Barbara County detectives arrested Shane Ryan Gledhill, a 46-year-old actor credited on roughly 120 films, after a five-year investigation uncovered a pattern of exploiting teenage girls through fabricated casting calls. The inquiry started in 2021 when a 15-year-old reported inappropriate behavior, later expanding to include two additional victims and a total of nine minors identified through digital forensics. A 2022 search of Gledhill’s home on Courtney Drive in Lompoc seized extensive electronic evidence that linked him to the alleged abuse.
He now faces 15 felony charges, including child molestation, rape, and possession of child sexual abuse material, and is held on $500,000 bail. Gledhill’s online profiles listed numerous industry connections, and his brother Jeremy Williams produced at least one film starring him. Authorities hope the public release of his mugshot will prompt further victims to report similar crimes.
