Veteran Pro Bowl lineman Andrus Peat retires after 11 NFL seasons

Andrus Peat used an Instagram caption on Friday to declare his departure from the NFL, citing gratitude for the lessons football taught him and excitement for the next phase with his wife and sons. Selected 13th overall out of Stanford in the 2015 draft, Peat anchored the Saints' offensive line for nine years, contributing to four consecutive NFC South titles and three consecutive Pro Bowl selections between 2018 and 2020.

Following the 2023 season, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders, appearing in 15 games with a single start, and later signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing six games and starting three. His wife, Ashley, responded with a supportive comment praising his sacrifices.
