The Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner has warned residents about a Melbourne woman accused of posing as a doctor and demanding $20,000 for unapproved treatments.
Authorities say Assma Samadi pretended to be a medical practitioner and billed clients $20,000 for services not authorized by health regulators. Police charged her in July with steroid trafficking, drug possession and common assault. The commissioner urged the community to avoid any engagement with her. Samadi is scheduled to appear in court on October 19.
