Viral video shows student attacked at Raipur school, prompting police case

A video of a pupil being assaulted at Swami Atmanand School in Raipur spread online, leading to bailable charges against both involved students.

A recording that appears to show a Class IX student being assaulted at the state-run Swami Atmanand School in Raipur has gone viral, raising concerns about campus safety. According to the complaint, the attacker enlisted external youths to join the assault, and the video featured dialogue from the movie Tirangaa, including a threatening statement about legal connections. The victim's family approached the school principal but alleged that the administration failed to intervene, leading the student to secure a transfer certificate.

The mother of the alleged attacker reportedly caused a disturbance at the police station, accompanied by lawyers. Purani Basti police filed bailable charges against both students under Sections 296, 115, 351, 327, 3 and 5 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The video was uploaded by the alleged aggressor and later deleted.
