Young libertarians push for America-First policies and an end to the Iran war
Students at the Young Americans for Liberty national convention urged the removal of establishment Republicans, an end to U.S. involvement in Iran, and tighter controls on AI data centers and foreign ownership of homes.
The 17th annual Young Americans for Liberty National Convention in Cincinnati served as a platform for young libertarians to criticize establishment politicians and advocate for an "America First" stance. Participants expressed opposition to continued U.S. military action in Iran, arguing the war lacks clear purpose, and called for restrictions on AI data center growth and foreign investors purchasing single-family homes.
Notable speakers such as Senator Rand Paul, rapper Afroman, and Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy appeared, with Ramaswamy receiving boos from the crowd. A poll released earlier this year indicated that a majority of likely voters believe the administration is not prioritizing American interests. Over 600 attendees, primarily aged 18 to 30, described the event as a training ground for the next generation of liberty leaders.
