Zepto delivery worker barred after harassing Bengaluru resident

A woman in Bengaluru posted a video accusing a Zepto delivery partner of repeatedly demanding entry to her home; the company later issued a restraining order and revoked his ID.

A Bengaluru woman uploaded a video alleging that a Zepto delivery associate repeatedly requested to come inside her home after delivering an order, even after she declined each time. She said the rider first asked for drinking water, finished the bottle, then kept asking for more and for a few minutes inside, prompting her to close the gate and feel scared. The woman claimed the driver rang the doorbell multiple times and banged on the gate despite her refusals.

In response, Zepto said it had imposed a restraining order on the driver and cancelled his delivery ID. She did not file a police report because she did not have the rider’s identifying information. The incident comes shortly after a Flipkart delivery executive was arrested for alleged sexual harassment in a separate case.
