Privacy
The minimum we collect, the maximum we promise: no trackers, no data sales, and almost everything either aggregate or on your own device.

Who we are
Briev is operated by Nova Systems LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. For all data described in this policy, Nova Systems LLC is the data controller and the party you are dealing with. You can reach us at [email protected].
The short version
Briev is a news product, not an advertising business. We collect the minimum needed to run the service, we keep almost all of it aggregate or on your device, and we never sell or share personal data. There are no third-party trackers anywhere on Briev.
On the website
No cookies, no third parties. briev.ai sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party servers — no ad pixels, no external analytics, no CDNs.
First-party measurement, aggregates only. Pages send a small beacon to our own server so we can see which sections are read. Raw addresses are never stored: visits are counted through a one-way code that changes every day, so yesterday's visitor cannot be connected to today's — by us or by anyone else. What we keep is daily totals.
On your device. Your theme choice and whether you have dismissed our launch-notification prompt are remembered in your browser's own storage. They never leave your device.
Launch notifications. If you leave your email to hear about the app launch, we store that address on our own infrastructure, behind access controls, and use it for exactly one thing: telling you when the app is available. It is never shared, never enriched, never used for anything else, and removed on request.
In the app
Device registration. An anonymous device identifier keeps your preferences and briefing history in sync. No account is required to use Briev.
Optional account. If you sign in, we store your name and email so your settings survive a device change. Signing out removes account data from the device.
Preferences. Your interests, briefing times, voice and notification settings.
Push token. If you enable notifications, an Apple push token lets us deliver them. Turning notifications off removes the token from our servers.
Usage signals. Which briefings were played, to power streaks and story selection. Briefing audio is generated on your device; your listening happens locally.
Support messages. If you send feedback through the app, we keep the message and whatever contact details you chose to include, solely to look into the issue and reply. Removed on request like everything else.
What we never do
We do not sell or share personal data. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not profile you for advertising — Briev shows no ads. Story selection is editorial, never targeted at individuals.
Retention, access and deletion
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete the data associated with your account or your email address, and we will do it without ceremony. Aggregated site statistics contain nothing that identifies you and are kept to understand long-term readership.
