Terms of service
Briev writes its own account of the news, provides it as is, and asks you to use it like a reasonable person.
Effective 10 August 2026 · Briev (briev.ai and the Briev iOS app) is operated by Nova Systems LLC. This version replaces the terms of 5 July 2026.
The service
Briev reads the day's reporting across the political spectrum, then writes and narrates its own account of each story, together with analysis of how that story is being covered. Everything you read or hear on Briev is Briev's own text: we do not republish source articles or images. The service is provided for personal, informational use.
Accuracy
News moves fast and automated synthesis can contain errors. Briev is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Our editorial standards describe the guardrails we run; they reduce errors, they do not abolish them. Do not rely on Briev as the sole basis for financial, legal, medical or safety decisions.
Acceptable use
Do not redistribute Briev's text or audio commercially, scrape or bulk-harvest the service, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or misrepresent Briev's analysis as your own or as a source outlet's. Quoting Briev with attribution, in the ordinary way people quote things, is welcome.
Intellectual property
The Briev name, site, app, text and audio are the property of Nova Systems LLC. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service; nothing here transfers ownership of anything to anyone.
Launch notifications
If you leave your email address to be notified about the app launch, you are asking us to send you one announcement email. How that address is handled is covered by the privacy policy.
Availability and changes
Briev is under active development. Features may change, pause or disappear, and we may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. If a change is material we will note it here with a new effective date.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Systems LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service — which, today, is nothing.
