A 13-year-old who stabbed a teacher and two pupils was discharged from a child psychiatry unit and brought before the Bistriţa-Năsăud police, while the school council voted to expel him.
After a knife assault at Şcoala gimnazială “Ştefan cel Mare” that injured a teacher and two students, the 13-year-old attacker was discharged from the child psychiatry department in Cluj-Napoca and presented to the Inspectoratul de Poliţie Judeţean Bistriţa-Năsăud for questioning. The school’s faculty and administrative councils formally decided to expel the student, notifying the Inspectoratul Şcolar Judeţean Bistriţa-Năsăud.
The Judecătoria Bistriţa approved eight separate protection orders, each lasting a year, mandating a minimum 50-metre distance from the victims, their residences and the school, and obliging the boy to wear a continuous electronic surveillance device. All forms of direct or indirect communication with the victims are prohibited. These measures aim to safeguard the injured parties while the legal process proceeds.
