An 18-year-old was convicted of preparing a serious explosive attack after being recruited via encrypted Signal chats in Gothenburg.
The court sentenced an 18-year-old for planning a bomb attack in Högsbo, after a recruiter forced him to transport a hand grenade that was later found by a police dog near an Ica store. The incident stemmed from a Signal chat where a teenage girl had stolen about 30 kg of hashish and sought revenge. A younger girl received youth supervision for a related drug offence, and a 45-year-old man remains detained on suspicion of supplying the grenade.
