25-year-old man fatally beaten by three minors after club night in Fălticeni
Beniamin, a 25-year-old, was killed in a parking lot in Fălticeni after a dispute that started following a night at a club, and three minors have been taken into preventive custody.
After spending the night at a club in Fălticeni, Beniamin, 25, and a 27-year-old companion were involved in a clash with a group of teenagers. The altercation continued outside the venue, and the youths followed the pair to a parking lot roughly 500 metres from a police station. There, Beniamin was repeatedly struck, especially in the head, resulting in cerebral and internal bleeding that caused his death, according to his stepfather.
A recording captured the attackers calling for an ambulance and noting that he had no pulse. Police apprehended three minors - a 15-year-old who delivered the first blow and two 17-year-olds - and a court ordered their preventive detention for 30 days. The victim’s friend also sustained serious injuries and faces a nine-day recovery period. Surveillance footage from the club may help reconstruct the events leading up to the assault, and investigators are still determining each suspect's role.
