29-Year-Old Arrested in Craigavon After Vehicle Search Yields £650,000 in Drugs
Police stopped a black Volkswagen in Drumbeg on September 15, finding drugs worth about £650,000 and arresting the 29-year-old driver.
On the afternoon of September 15, the Organised Crime Branch halted a black Volkswagen in Drumbeg, Craigavon, after a routine traffic stop. Inside the car, officers found drugs estimated to have a street value of £650,000, leading to the arrest of the 29-year-old driver. He now faces charges for involvement in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, possession of Class A substances, and possession with intent to supply, as well as possession of Class B and C drugs.
Police officials highlighted the broader issue of drug supply and urged the public to report any related information via the non-emergency number 101. The accused is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 17.
