49ers owner Jed York arrested in Ohio trailer park during prostitution sting

Jed York, the principal owner of the San Francisco 49ers, was arrested at Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in East Palestine, Ohio, during an undercover police prostitution sting. East Palestine Police Chief Weingart stated York’s presence was coincidental and the operation did not target specific addresses in the park. Prosecutors reduced the original allegation to misdemeanor disorderly conduct; York also pleaded no contest to possessing a phone used to set up the encounter, resulting in concurrent one-day jail sentences and a $1,150 fine.

The mobile-home park, now managed by CMC REI LLC, markets itself as a quiet, all-ages community. York, a Youngstown native and grandson of mall developer Edward J. DeBartolo Sr., posted $5,000 bond after his arrest. The NFL announced a review of the incident under its personal-conduct policy as the new season approaches.
