49ers owner Jed York sentenced after Ohio disorderly conduct and tool possession case

Jed York, who has led the San Francisco 49ers as CEO since 2008, was taken into custody by the East Palestine Police Department in Ohio over the weekend. He entered no-contest pleas to two offenses: a disorderly conduct charge, which had initially been described as a prostitution suspicion, and a charge for possessing criminal tools, the nature of which was not disclosed. The court sentenced York to one day of incarceration for each count and imposed fines of $150 for the disorderly conduct and $1,000 for the tool possession.

York, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, continues to own property in that city. The NFL acknowledged awareness of the case and indicated it will be examined under the league's personal conduct policy. The 49ers issued a brief statement saying the issue is a legal matter that has been resolved and offered no additional comment.
