55 members of the Malka family recovered from rubble in Gaza's Zeytoun district
Civil defence officials have uncovered the bodies and remains of 55 Palestinians, all from the Malka family, beneath a collapsed building in Gaza's Zeytoun area.
Rescue teams working in the Zeytoun neighbourhood of Gaza City reported that 55 victims, identified as members of the Malka family, were found under the debris of a structure they had entered two years ago for shelter. The search, which lasted over 72 hours, aimed to locate more than 60 missing relatives. Authorities said a joint funeral for the family is planned for early next week.
