68-year-old Allen Keys pleads guilty to killing Dandenong mother Eva Lasrini

In a video-linked appearance before Melbourne Magistrates' Court, 68-year-old Allen Keys pleaded guilty to the murder of Eva Lasrini, a 53-year-old mother of two from Dandenong. The killing occurred on April 1 near Little River, a location between Melbourne and Geelong, and Lasrini's remains were found close to the Princes Freeway on April 4 after she was reported missing. Keys, who lives in Patterson Lakes, was apprehended on April 3 while attempting to board an international flight at Melbourne International Airport and was subsequently charged with murder.

During the brief hearing, he confirmed his guilty plea and was remanded in the city’s detention centre. A directions hearing is scheduled for September 28 at the Victorian Supreme Court. Lasrini was remembered as a devoted mother and a student of English who had recently shared a positive social-media post about a new learning opportunity.
