80-year-old driver arrested after cyclist mother of two killed in Northampton collision

Michelle Tiller, 44, was cycling on Lindsay Avenue in Northampton when a car collided with her on the morning of September 1. She was taken to University Hospital Coventry but succumbed to her injuries on September 17. Northampton Police arrested an 80-year-old driver on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving; he remains on bail pending further inquiry.

Tiller’s husband, Robert, described her as a joyful animal lover and devoted mother of two sons, Riley and Cameron, and shared heartfelt memories of her kindness and support. The family also mourns her parents, Jim and Glennis, and sisters Maxine and Natalie. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward with information about the crash.
