A1 highway segment between Sibiu and Boița closed for construction work
The CNAIR announced that traffic on the A1 between Sibiu and Boița will be halted from Monday, with vehicles rerouted onto DN7 and DN1.
The Compania Națională de Administrare a Infrastructurii Rutiere (CNAIR) confirmed that the A1 motorway section between Sibiu and Boița will be closed beginning Monday to continue construction of lot 2 of the Sibiu-Pitești highway. The Turkish builder association Mapa-Cengiz will commence work on a crossing structure over the existing road, requiring a full traffic shutdown between the Cisnădie and Boița junctions. To maintain connectivity, traffic will be redirected onto DN7, passing through Boița, Tălmaciu and Veștem, and onto DN1 between Veștem and Cisnădie. The closure is expected to last until mid-December, ensuring safety for motorists while the works progress.
