Ab Ghani Hassan wins FAM presidency in decisive vote
Ab Ghani Hassan was chosen as the new president of the Football Association of Malaysia, defeating Shahril Mokhtar with a 20-to-5 vote.
During an extraordinary congress in Petaling Jaya, Ab Ghani Hassan secured the FAM presidency, receiving 20 votes against Shahril Mokhtar's five. He will complete the remainder of the 2025-2029 term. In the same meeting, Rosmadi Ismail won the first vice-president slot, while Saaran Nadarajah took the second vice-president position.
