Acton Holds Narrow Lead over Ramaswamy in Ohio Gubernatorial Poll
A new Bowling Green State University/YouGov poll shows Democrat Amy Acton ahead of Republican Vivek Ramaswamy by three points in the Ohio governor's race.
According to a Bowling Green State University/YouGov poll released Wednesday, Democrat Amy Acton leads Republican Vivek Ramaswamy by three percentage points in the Ohio gubernatorial contest, registering 48% support against Ramaswamy's 45%. An additional 7% of surveyed voters indicated they would choose another candidate. Acton also enjoys a higher favorability rating, with 41% of respondents viewing her positively compared with 36% for Ramaswamy.
Campaign manager Philip Stein praised the numbers as evidence of Ohioans' desire for change, while Ramaswamy spokesperson Evan Machan dismissed the poll's significance. The poll surveyed 1,000 likely voters between Sept. 1 and Sept. 10 and has a reported margin of error of 3.96%.
