Actor Davide Iacopini suffers severe head injury after alleged minicar assault

Actor Davide Iacopini was struck by a minicar while riding a scooter, sustaining a serious cranial trauma and is now in intensive care.

Davide Iacopini, a 42-year-old actor known for roles in series such as Suburra, was riding a scooter in Rome when a minicar approached and one of its passengers delivered a kick that knocked him to the ground. The impact caused a serious cranial injury, and he was admitted to San Camillo hospital's intensive care unit with a guarded prognosis. Rome prosecutors are treating the case as attempted homicide and have launched an inquiry that includes analysis of nearby surveillance video to identify the two individuals in the vehicle.

Police initially thought the incident might have been an accident, but the investigation revealed it was an intentional assault. A separate complaint filed the next morning described a woman who was similarly struck by a black minicar, suggesting a potential series of attacks. Investigators are now working to determine whether the same vehicle and perpetrators are involved in both incidents.
