Actor Dennis Haskins, famed as Mr. Belding, passes away at 75

Dennis Haskins, the actor synonymous with Principal Richard Belding from the “Saved by the Bell” franchise, has died at the age of 75. His agent Jay Schachter confirmed the news, though no information about the cause of death has been made public. Haskins portrayed the iconic school principal throughout the original series, its sequel “The New Class,” the TV movie “Hawaiian Style,” and the precursor “Good Morning, Miss Bliss,” appearing in almost 90 episodes.

Beyond the sitcom, his résumé includes roles in titles such as “A Million Ways to Die in the West” and “Trailer Park Shark.” A Burbank karaoke bar, Dimples Karaoke, remembered him as a regular who loved singing, meeting fans, and taking selfies, even after the venue closed years ago. Colleagues described him as a kind person who cherished his supporters.
