Actress Antara Banerjee arrested after alleged razor incident on Aravali Express
Actress Antara Banerjee was taken into custody following a dispute on the Aravali Express that police say escalated into a razor attack on a Railway Protection Force officer.
Antara Banerjee, known for roles in Hindi television and films, was traveling on the Aravali Express toward Surat when a conflict arose over her seating in a reserved AC coach. Ticket collector Harikesh Tripathi and RPF personnel were called after a fellow passenger raised concerns about her ticket. According to police statements, Banerjee allegedly shouted at officials and brandished a razor blade, causing injury to RPF assistant sub-inspector Yaminikant Mishra.
She also reportedly tried to break a coach window before being deboarded at Dahanu and handed to the Government Railway Police. Borivali railway police took her into custody the following morning, and she was released on bail after the FIR was registered on August 13.
