ADA audit panel says review of June expulsions remains incomplete
The American Diabetes Association’s audit and governance committee announced that its review of the June 5 expulsions at the New Orleans conference is not finished.
On September 1, the ADA released preliminary findings from an internal panel that examined the removal of five members during its June conference in New Orleans. The full report is still confidential. The audit and governance committee later stated that the initial findings did not incorporate all investigative material and later interviews, so additional conclusions are pending.
Why it matters
The pending review could affect the ADA’s governance and future handling of member expulsions.
