Adam Bielan elected president of European Conservatives and Reformists Party

Adam Bielan was elected president of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party (ECR) by its board of directors, a move coming as the European political landscape undergoes significant change. In his inaugural statement, Bielan described the role as both an honour and a responsibility, emphasizing the need to deepen collaboration among conservative parties across the continent. He outlined priorities such as expanding the ECR family, defending national sovereignty, enhancing security, and boosting economic competitiveness.

The new leader also stressed the importance of safeguarding European identity and giving conservative voices a stronger platform in debates over the EU’s direction. Bielan promised the party will take a more active part in shaping Europe’s future together with its member parties and partners. The election places a Polish politician at the helm of one of the EU’s major conservative alliances.
