Adani Enterprises and Jabil Ink Deal to Build AI Data-Centre Hardware in India
Adani Enterprises and U.S. manufacturer Jabil have signed an MoU to create a joint venture that will produce AI-focused data-centre racks and related equipment in India.
Adani Enterprises Ltd and multinational manufacturer Jabil Inc have agreed to a joint venture covering the full lifecycle of AI data-centre hardware, from design to installation. The MoU covers AI racks, servers, storage, networking devices and the power-distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers needed to run high-performance computing clusters. The partnership targets a multi-gigawatt production capacity, enabling the construction of AI systems with combined power needs of several gigawatts.
Jabil will leverage its recent acquisitions of Hanley Energy Group and Mikros Technologies to enhance its cooling and power-management offerings, while Adani contributes its energy, infrastructure and data-centre platforms. The venture supports Adani Group’s broader commitment to build 5 GW of green-energy-driven, hyperscale AI-ready data centres by 2035, positioning India as a key hub for global AI infrastructure demand.
Why it matters
The deal could boost India's AI hardware supply chain and accelerate the rollout of energy-efficient data centres.
