Adobe revamps Photoshop, Premiere to run faster on NVIDIA RTX Spark chips
Adobe has reengineered Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D to exploit NVIDIA's RTX Spark SoC, delivering roughly double the speed for AI-driven tasks.
Adobe announced that its core creative software—Photoshop, Premiere and the Substance 3D suite—has been rearchitected to take advantage of NVIDIA's RTX Spark system-on-chip. Deepa Subramaniam, Adobe's vice-president, said the overhaul enables the applications to run AI-intensive workflows up to two times faster on Windows laptops and compact desktops equipped with RTX Spark. In Photoshop, users will experience immediate visual feedback when applying effects or using the Remove tool, while Premiere users will notice tangible speed gains in rendering, effect application, AI-based editing and color-grading.
The updated Substance 3D Painter accelerates heavy texturing steps, as well as opening, saving and exporting large projects. RTX Spark is designed to bring local AI processing to a broader audience, contrasting with NVIDIA's enterprise-focused DGX Spark.
