AfD pulls ahead of Union, widening lead to over ten points in new poll

In a new Insa poll concerning the upcoming Bundestag election, the AfD registers a slight increase and overtakes the Union, which remains unchanged, producing a margin exceeding ten points. The Greens and SPD are tied in the next tier, with the Left party following them. The FDP and the BSW are projected to miss the parliamentary entry threshold.
According to the poll's seat calculations, the AfD would claim approximately 212 seats, the Union around 137, while the SPD and Greens would each receive roughly 104 to 105 seats and the Left about 72. A coalition of Union, SPD and Greens would reach a majority, whereas a red-red-green alliance would still fall short. The report also notes that Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has called for a thorough review of a possible ban on the AfD.
