AfterQuery hits $3.2 billion valuation, fastest Y Combinator unicorn ever
AI data-training startup AfterQuery has secured funding that lifts its valuation to $3.2 billion, marking the quickest rise to unicorn status in Y Combinator history.
AfterQuery, an AI training-data company founded by two entrepreneurs aged 22 and 23, has raised a new financing round that brings its valuation to $3.2 billion, according to reports. This follows a $30 million Series A in April that placed the startup at a $300 million valuation, representing more than a tenfold increase in under half a year. Y Combinator partner Gustaf Alströmer described the achievement as the fastest ascent to unicorn status in the accelerator’s history.
Based in San Francisco, AfterQuery said it now runs at an annualized revenue rate of $100 million and works with major labs, listing Nvidia, Legora and Korean AI lab Motif Technologies as clients. The company’s approach differs from peers by teaching models to replicate the reasoning patterns of leading practitioners across fields such as medicine and law. One outlet first reported the round, and AfterQuery was not immediately reachable for comment.
