Ahold Delhaize files police report as cyber incident keeps Albert Heijn and U.S. stores offline

Ahold Delhaize lodged a police complaint after being urged by Dutch police and the Public Prosecution Service to do so. The cyber incident has left Albert Heijn shelves empty and suspended its home‑delivery and online ordering, with a target to restore services from Friday. Physical store deliveries in the Netherlands have been reinstated, but online ordering and loyalty offers remain unavailable.

In the United States, brands such as Stop & Shop, Giant Food, Hannaford and Food Lion continue to experience offline e‑commerce platforms, with expectations of a near‑future restoration. The company said it is working to bring systems back online while addressing the breach.
