Air India Express traveler fires weapon at Varanasi security checkpoint, injuring two
A passenger on an Air India Express flight to Mumbai declared he was carrying a weapon and discharged a round during a security check at Varanasi airport, wounding two screeners.
While boarding flight IX-1810, a man traveling with his wife announced he had a weapon on board. During the subsequent inspection at Varanasi airport, he fired a shot, striking two AAICLAS security personnel. Both victims were transported to New Laxmi Trauma Centre for medical care.
