The prison collapsed on Monday when the coalition targeted the strategic city of Hazm in Jawf province. The attack spurred the Houthi movement to fire missiles and drones at southern Saudi Arabia, wounding 73.
In addition to the fatalities, at least seven individuals were injured, among them a woman who was visiting her husband. The coalition also bombed Houthi military sites in Marib and Jawf provinces on Wednesday. The incident underscores the intensifying fighting that has already killed over 150,000 people and displaced thousands across Yemen.
