Alabama man charged with murdering grandmother and aunt, decapitated with chainsaw

In Mobile, Alabama, authorities arrested Thomas Steele, 47, on two murder charges after investigators found the heads of his 65-year-old grandmother, Christy Deloach, and his 85-year-old aunt, Dora Boone, missing from their home. The discovery followed a 911 call in which the aunt described Steele's erratic actions after he stopped taking his lithium medication, saying he was calm but behaving oddly and claiming to be "following God."
Police arrived roughly two and a half hours after the call and located the victims inside the four-bedroom house, both having been decapitated with a chainsaw. Witnesses said Steele was waiting outside the home at the time of the killings. Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood presented the case in a Tuesday hearing, leading to Steele's indictment.
