Alan Cumming Wins Third Consecutive Emmy for Reality-TV Hosting

At the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony in downtown Los Angeles, Alan Cumming received his third consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host in a Reality or Competition Program, representing the series The Traitors. He outperformed fellow nominees RuPaul, Kristen Kish, Ariana Madix and Jeff Probst. Cumming was absent, and former Traitors contestant Johnny Bananas collected the award, teasing that he would not hand it over until Cumming brought him back onto the show.

The ceremony, hosted at the Peacock Theater, is part of a two-day event that hands out more than 100 technical Emmys ahead of the primetime broadcast. The Traitors itself earned multiple nominations and wins this year, adding to its total of 17 nominations over its run. The main Emmy Awards will follow on September 14, hosted by Mariska Hargitay and streamed on one outlet and Peacock.
