Alexander brothers face sentencing as dozens of victims prepare statements

The Alexander twins and their brother are set to be sentenced in New York for a sex-trafficking scheme that abused over 70 women, with many victims slated to speak at the hearing.

Twin brothers Oren and Alon Alexander, together with their sibling Tal, were found guilty of a long-running sex-trafficking operation that began in the early 2000s and involved drugging and raping at least 70 women. Their notoriety stemmed from a lucrative career at Douglas Elliman and a family-run security firm, which helped them lure victims to lavish getaways in Miami. In March they were convicted, and on Tuesday they will be sentenced before U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni, who has indicated they should be housed separately.

Prosecutors have asked for life imprisonment, whereas their lawyers argue for a 15-year floor. Around a dozen victims plan to give impact statements, and the brothers have remained in custody without bail since their 2024 arrest.

Why it matters

The case highlights how wealth and celebrity connections can be exploited for large-scale sexual abuse.
