Alienware AW3926QW Review: 39-Inch OLED Ultrawide Balances Size, Sharpness and Price

Alienware’s AW3926QW introduces a 39-inch curved OLED panel that sits between the common 34-inch and the larger 45-inch ultrawide offerings, using a 5K2K (5120 × 2160) resolution that raises pixel density about 30 percent compared with 34-inch rivals. The screen delivers perfect black levels, an effectively infinite contrast ratio, and HDR peaks that reached over 1,000 nits in testing, while covering 99 % of DCI-P3 and 93 % of AdobeRGB.

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, and a USB-C input that supplies up to 90 W, plus several downstream USB ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The design is minimalist and the stand, though offering 4.3 inches of height adjustment, can wobble when the monitor is raised. Its 165 Hz refresh at native resolution is respectable but falls short of the 240-360 Hz rates found on many 34-inch gaming monitors, and the higher-refresh 330 Hz mode requires a low 2560 × 1080 resolution that looks poor on a screen of this size.

Priced around $1,100, it is cheaper than comparable LG models but still a premium purchase. The AW3926QW is best suited for gamers who value a larger, sharper OLED experience more than the fastest possible motion clarity.
