Alin Tişe predicts a new cabinet will survive Parliament despite party infighting
Cluj County Council President Alin Tişe says the proposed Luca Niculescu government will be approved by Parliament, regardless of which parties join it.
Alin Tişe, president of the Cluj County Council, asserted that the Luca Niculescu-proposed cabinet will pass the parliamentary vote, no matter the coalition formula. He noted that AUR is the sole force pushing for snap elections, whereas PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR aim to preserve their parliamentary mandates by backing the government, even if they are not part of it. Tişe criticized the parties for prioritising political survival over principles, describing the situation as a deep crisis that has pushed citizens to the limit.
He warned that once this episode ends, the next battle will be over electoral points for the 2028 elections. Nonetheless, he concluded that the immediate governmental crisis will be resolved, albeit temporarily.
