Alleged 49ers impersonator kept dating victim up to day of arrest
A woman who says she was Daejon Love’s “last victim” posted TikTok footage showing they were still romantically involved on the day federal agents detained him and associate Taylor Jamie Chan.
Federal authorities seized Daejon Love and his alleged accomplice Taylor Jamie Chan at Boise Airport on Aug. 24, ending a multi-state romance-investment fraud that reportedly swindled 26 women out of roughly $1.3 million. Love is accused of posing as a San Francisco 49ers player, complete with counterfeit contracts, helmets and staged workout videos, and of name-dropping real NFL stars to bolster his ruse. A woman who calls herself Love’s “last victim” posted a TikTok compilation that chronicles fishing trips, travel, shopping outings and private messages with a contact saved as “Jordan,” which she identifies as Love.
The footage includes a Corvette and a diamond ring, implying ongoing romantic overtures on the very day agents moved in. She does not disclose whether she contributed money or suffered a loss. Prosecutors say Love’s operation persisted until his arrest, aligning with the TikTok timeline. The case highlights how online dating platforms can be exploited for elaborate financial scams.
