Alley Mills recounts husband Orson Bean's fatal 2020 Venice car crash

Alley Mills, celebrated for her work on "The Wonder Years" and daytime dramas, opened up on a podcast about the fatal accident that claimed her husband, Orson Bean, in February 2020. While walking in Venice, California, Bean was struck by a car and subsequently hit by another vehicle after he fell, resulting in death on impact. Emergency responders erected a tent at the scene due to helicopter activity, and Mills held his body for four hours, attempting mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

She recounted the gruesome sight of exposed vertebrae and a blood-soaked crash site. According to the autopsy doctor, Bean died instantly, a detail Mills finds some solace in after six years of mourning.
