Recognizing that she was not breathing, Beam performed a Heimlich maneuver while Bunzow summoned paramedics.
The pair continued to assist the woman until emergency responders arrived about five minutes later. Her son James said their presence and rapid response were crucial to her survival. The drivers plan to revisit the resident to check on her recovery and enjoy the balcony view they were shown.
