Amazon launches Alexa‑branded tablets with anti‑glare Nanomatte screens and Google Play access

Amazon has introduced three Alexa Tablet models measuring 12, 11 and 8 inches, each built with an aluminum chassis and equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8189 or 8400 processors. The devices run a custom Android skin, include the Alexa+ assistant, the Kindle app and full access to the Google Play Store. An optional Nanomatte glass surface reduces glare, and accessories such as a magnetic Pro Pen and detachable keyboard are offered. Amazon also announced that its low‑cost Fire tablets will be phased out within the next month or two, with four years of post‑sale support, as the new Alexa tablets become the company’s primary tablet lineup.
