Amazon pulls over 112,000 bottles of extra-strength acetaminophen after discoloration reports

Amazon has voluntarily recalled more than 112,000 bottles of 500 mg acetaminophen caplets made by Aurobindo Pharma after customers reported discolored pills.

The recall covers 200-, 500-, and 1,000-count bottles sold under Amazon’s private label. The FDA listed the voluntary recall on September 18 but has not assigned a health-risk level. Shoppers are urged to inspect any existing bottles and contact Amazon’s customer service for assistance.

Why it matters

Consumers need to verify their medication to avoid potential safety issues and can obtain refunds or replacements from Amazon.
