AMD CEO Lisa Su heads to South Korea for AI partnership talks and Gamer Day event
AMD chief executive Lisa Su will travel to South Korea this week to meet AI firm leaders and government officials, and to attend AMD Gamer Day 2026 in Seoul.
Advanced Micro Devices' chief executive Lisa Su will be in South Korea later this week, accompanied by Jack Huynh, senior vice president of the Computing and Graphics Group. Their itinerary includes attending AMD Gamer Day 2026 in central Seoul on Wednesday, followed by a press Q&A. The trip also features meetings with leaders of South Korean artificial-intelligence firms and officials from the Korean government to discuss potential partnership opportunities.
Su’s earlier March visit to the country involved talks with Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Jae-yong and Naver Corp. CEO Choi Soo-yeon about AI collaboration, and Samsung has supplied AMD with HBM3E memory chips for its AI products since 2025. AMD, a major CPU and GPU maker, continues to strengthen its ties in the Asian AI semiconductor market alongside rivals such as Nvidia.
