AMD CEO Lisa Su plans Seoul visit to meet AI chip makers and officials
AMD chief executive Lisa Su is slated to travel to South Korea next month for talks with local AI semiconductor firms and government leaders.
Advanced Micro Devices' chief executive Lisa Su is scheduled to visit Seoul next month, with a proposed meeting on Oct. 8 that will bring together CEOs of leading South Korean AI semiconductor firms, including Rebellions Inc., FuriosaAI and Mobilint. South Korean officials, including Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon, are also expected to attend. The visit comes roughly seven months after Su's March trip, during which she met Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Jae-yong and discussed the supply of Samsung's HBM3E chips that AMD has used for its AI products since 2025.
Sources indicate that Su will also hold discussions with senior executives from major Korean corporations such as Samsung Electronics. The itinerary underscores AMD's strategy to strengthen partnerships in the fast-growing AI chip market and to coordinate with both industry and government stakeholders in the region.
